BLIND DRIVING DAY -

A FIRST FOR QUEENSLAND

The Brisbane Branch of Blind Citizens Australia held a Driving Experience Day for people who are blind or have low vision on Sunday 25th November, 2007 held at Lakeside Raceway circuit, Dakabin.

Ace Driving School was very proud to volunteer fully qualified driving instructors and their dual-controlled cars to participate in the inaugural event.

Can you imagine the excitement of a blind person, who has never driven, to have the opportunity to be in the driver's seat for the first time in their life?  Can you picture the joy of a legally blind person having the chance to be behind the wheel of a vehicle?

This is truly a wonderful story of opportunity, a once in a lifetime experience for people with a sight disability and the Driving Instructors from Ace Driving School.
